Dr. Brian Neal, Washington State Psychiatry

Brian Neal, M.D.

Born and raised in the Puget Sound Region, Dr. Neal is a genuine local who is committed to helping patients find relief from mental illness, both in the community and across Washington State. With a down-to-earth and easygoing character, he listens carefully and collaborates with patients to provide compassionate, meaningful, and individualized treatment.  

Dr. Neal is the Chief Medical Officer for Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital where he has worked since October 2018. Previous hospital affiliations include Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, MultiCare, and Bournewood Health Systems in Boston. He has broad clinical experience both in hospital and outpatient settings.

Dr. Neal graduated with his medical degree from the University of San Diego California School of Medicine. He completed psychiatric training in the Boston University Medical Center Psychiatry Residency Program. Dr. Neal is board-certified through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. As an expertly trained and seasoned Psychiatrist, Dr. Neal offers the highest level of specialty care available in the field of behavioral health. 

Dr. Robert Garrard, Washington State Psychiatry

Robert Garrard, M.D.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Garrard is passionate about helping patients and their families living with mental illness. He takes a flexible, thoughtful, and pragmatic approach to patient care and recovery. Dr. Garrard strives to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. He provides patients with medical and therapeutic treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their own care.

Dr. Garrard obtained his B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and his M.D. from New York Medical College before completing his residency at Mount Sinai-St. Luke’s/West Hospitals in New York City. He is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. 

Dr. Garrard has a broad range of clinical experience working in emergency rooms, inpatient, and outpatient settings. He worked at the Bellevue Hospital Psychiatric Emergency Program before moving back to Washington State, where he works inpatient at Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital.

Providing psychiatry services to patients throughout Washington state, including Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Spokane.
